Pink Prom Shoes For 2010
By Douglas Ivery
Okay, so you have found the perfect prom dress. Now comes the accessories. The shoes are the most important accessory, so be wise about your decision this prom. I will give you some valuable information that will set your prom shoes apart from all the wannabes!
First off, pink is the new black. Pink prom shoes go with many other dress colors and will make you stand out. Pink screams confidence and is the only color that will grab everyone's attention as you dance the night away. Will anyone remember the girl who wore a blue dress with light blue shoes? Of course they won't. They will remember you.
When looking for the perfect prom shoes, keep in mind that a comfortable shoes with a smaller heel-height is the way to go. The higher the heel on your prom shoes, the more uncomfortable you will seem dancing. Find a few that fit right and then decide from those which would be the best complement to your dress. Also, heels with a wider base might provide you more balance for some of those faster songs. You won't be going to many proms in your life, so make sure you are comfortable through that special night.
What about those metallic shoes everyone is talking about. Well, metallic shoes were in last year and there will be plenty of girls wearing them this year, however, I believe hot pink shoes will be the main attraction for 2010. Pink is in right now in the fashion industry and can be worn a variety of other colors. Don't be afraid to show off a little. Bright colors show that you are not afraid of expressing yourself. If you can't express yourself on prom night, when can you? Be confident in how you look and how you feel so that you and the people around you will have the most wonderful night of your lives.
Lastly, when trying on any shoes, walk around the store for at least fifteen minutes to make sure that they fit. An uncomfortable fit can be devastating and can not be determined by merely quickly fitting the shoe onto the foot. Stand up and aggressively dance around to get the feel for the shoe. Many stores will refund you money, but it may be too late if you try to do so right before the prom. Most stores will sell out of the hottest prom shoes and you will be left with something that might not fit your impeccable style. The most important thing is to have fun. Don't take things serious on your prom night. Pieces will fall into place if you stay calm and enjoy the beauty of being young.
